March is here and it is time to say “out with the old and in with the new!” Springtime is the best time of year to clean out any cluttered closet spaces, cabinets, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. Even though the process can be quite the job to tackle, there is always a way to bring fun and satisfaction through the boring task of decluttering. Here are just a few steps to guide you on your deep clean journey. 


  1. Play some tunes!

Listening to music will help you keep the energy going throughout your cleaning session and even sometimes make you work a little harder and quicker. Search up your favorite playlist on spotify, turn up your record player, or even listen to your goto radio station. In any way, the music will give you the motivation and drive to keep going. So nonetheless, play your favorite upbeat songs and don’t be afraid to turn up the volume!


2. Start prepared with all the supplies you need


How can you start spring cleaning without your much needed supplies? It is very important to make sure you have absolutely everything you need to begin your process. If you don’t necessarily know where to get your supplies, Target is highly recommended and will most likely be your best resource for this step. Maybe while you’re there, grab some bins, compartments, sanitizers, shelf dividers, whatever you need to be successful. 


3. Have yourself a cleaning partner


To help keep yourself entertained and driven, have a friend or family member come help you to get the most out of your experience. This really helps kill time and keeps yourthe energy levels high staying up. Having someone hold you accountable can also be extremely helpful when the process is beginning to get tiring. It’s almost like getting yourself a hype man! If you don’t necessarily have someone to help you out, try being your own motivator or plan your day of cleaning on an hour to hour basis.


4. Redecorate!


It’s always an exciting thing to redecorate an old space that maybe needs a few touch ups. You could Maybe get space new plant friends, move your bed to a different corner of your room, or change the lighting. This is all very rewarding at the end of decluttering because it makes the result feel almost ten times better than it did before with all your new room accessories. Don’t ever be afraid to switch things up a little!
